I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
